- It's 50 g of unsalted butter.
- It's 100 g of unsalted butter, softened,extra.
- Prepare 55 g of brown sugar.
- It's 60 ml of maple syrup.
- You need 3-4 of banana sliced.
- You need 230 g of caster sugar.
- You need 4 of egg.
- You need 1 TSP of vanilla extract.
- Prepare 155 g of plain(all purpose flour.
- It's 1 TSP of baking powder.

- Preheat the oven to 180°c, to make the topping place the butter,brown sugar,and maple syrup in a small pan,cook on medium heat for 10 minutes or until the sugar melted and the syrup is rich and golden.
- Pour the syrup into non stick springform cake tin and arrange the sliced bananas over the base of the tin.
- To make a cake place extra butter and caster sugar in a bowl and beat until pale and creamy,add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition then add the vanilla. Sift the flour,baking powder and salt and gently fold through the mixture. Spoon the batter evenly over the bananas caramel and smoth the top with spatula.
- Place the cake in the oven baking tray to catch any escaping caramel and bake for 35 min or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven n leave in the tin for 5 min to cool slightly. Transfer to large serving plate.
